The Georgia Unemployment Insurance (UI) Way2Go Card by Debit MasterCard® is the safe and convenient electronic payment system for receiving unemployment benefit payments.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) has implemented the electronic payment system to reduce fraud and provide recipients with immediate access to their unemployment benefits.

Georgia’s Unemployment Debit Card replaces paper unemployment checks. Individuals that are approved for UI benefits and not enrolled in direct deposit, will automatically receive a Georgia Way2Go Card in the mail.

If you need help logging into your Georgia UI Way2Go Card account to access your unemployment benefit payments online, follow the instructions provided below.

  • Visit the Georgia Go Program website at www.goprogram.com.
  • Enter your Way2Go Card Georgia User ID Information.
  • Click the green “Login” button to be taken to your Georgia Unemployment Debit Card online account.

You can also access your Georgia UI Way2Go Card online account via the Go Program Apple or Android smartphone app.

There are three ways to check your Georgia Unemployment Card balance – online, by phone, or in-person. You can check your Georgia UI Way2Go Card to get the current balance of your Georgia unemployment benefits and transaction history.

To access your Georgia Unemployment Card balance and transaction history online, please login your Way2Go Debit Card online account. Login and access your Georgia unemployment benefits on the Go Program website at www.goprogram.com.

Georgia Unemployment Benefits Payment Schedule

Your Georgia Unemployment benefits are available on your Georgia UI Way2Go Mastercard® by 5pm within 48 hours of your scheduled deposit day. Your GA Unemployment Insurance payments are posted in accordance with Georgia Department of Labor monthly and weekly payment cycles.

Please note that you MUST certify your unemployment benefits and complete your claim each week in order to have your UI benefits added to your Georgia Way2Go Debit Card.

Georgia Way2Go Mastercard® Transaction Fees & ATM Charges

Avoid transaction fees and service charges with your Georgia UI Way2Go Debit MasterCard® by using “in-network” MoneyPass ATMs and MasterCard® Bank Tellers for cash withdrawals.

The Georgia Debit MasterCard® provides FREE Unlimited ATM Cash Withdrawal per month at in-network MoneyPass ATM locations near you.

A summary of the Georgia UI Way2Go Card Transaction fees and Service charges are provided below:

  • $0.10 fee for each mobile text alert for deposits after your one (1) FREE
  • $0.50 fee for each request for Bill Pay through Go Program
  • $0.95 fee per transaction for ATM cash withdrawals at out-of-network ATMs
  • $0.95 fee per transaction for international ATM withdrawals + 3% conversion
  • $1.50 fee per deposit transfer to a bank account
  • $1.75 fee per month for account inactivity after 12 consecutive months of inactivity
  • $4.50 fee for replacement cards after your one (1) FREE
  • $14.50 fee for expedited 3-5 business day replacement card delivery

Please be aware that there are current reports of phishing emails, cell phone text messages, and vishing phone calls that are intended to obtain personal and/or card information. Phishing and vishing is a type of scam designed to steal your personal information.

We will never request any of your personal information such as Social Security Number, Card Number or PIN through our website. We highly recommend that you DO NOT respond to requests like these.

Being informed is your best defense. If you believe your Georgia Way2Go Card account has been compromised, please call Georgia Debit MasterCard® Customer Service as soon as possible. Submitting a request to report your card as lost or stolen will help to protect your Georgia Unemployment benefit payments.

Why is my Way2Go Card locked?
Your Way2Go Card account may be locked due to suspicious activity. If the Way2Go Card provider has suspected fraud on your account, they will disable your card as a precaution to protect the funds on your account. If your card has been disabled please call the Way2Go Customer Service phone number as soon as possible.
What ATMs can I use my Way2Go Card at?
The Way2Go Card can be used at any MasterCard® ATM worldwide. Some ATMs may have a surcharge fee. To avoid ATM surcharge fees, use an in-network MoneyPass ATM location.
How do I get money off my Way2Go Card?
There are three ways to get money off your Way2Go Card – by making a withdrawal at any MoneyPass ATM location, electronically transfering funds to your personal bank account, or getting free cashback with your purchase at any Debit MasterCard retailer.
How do I activate my Way2Go Card?
To activate your Way2Go Card by Debit MasterCard®, call the toll-free phone number listed on the back of your card. You have to register a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your card before you can start using it.

You will be asked to provide your Way2Go Card Number, the last 4-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN), and Date of Birth to set-up your PIN.

Can you add money to a Way2Go Card?
No, you cannot add or deposit money on your Way2Go Card account. The only way to get money added to your Way2Go Card is through your state’s benefits department. Additional funds cannot be added to your account.
